Two million dollars to boost research on critical and strategic minerals
We are pleased to announce that Corem has received $2 million in funding from the Quebec government, as part of the CRITM’s call for projects to support scientific research on critical and strategic minerals. This initiative, from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests, aims to strengthen innovation and technological development in the Quebec mining sector.
This funding will enable Corem to step up its efforts to develop innovative technologies and processes, including geometallurgical tools to improve knowledge of deposits and optimize the planning, concentration, and production of high-purity iron. This project will be carried out in partnership and with the support of Quebec Iron Ore and ArcelorMittal, and with the collaboration of the CRIM, Université Laval, and Minéralis.
This announcement reflects Corem’s commitment to excellence and innovation. This funding will enable us to pursue our mission of delivering innovative mineral processing solutions for a sustainable and prosperous mining industry, working closely with our ecosystem.
