To fulfil the needs of its membres and clients, COREM can count on the following experimental facilities:

  • Full facilities for ore processing, including instrumented SAG mill, instrumented ball mills, vibratory and jet grinding mills, Reichert and Carpco spiral concentrators, Mozley Multigravity and Kelsey jig separator, magnetic separator, flotation cells and columns, Courier 30 on-stream analyzers, filtration devices, Microtrac particle analyzer.
  • Full facilities for hydrometallurgy such as autoclaves, agitator-thickeners and leaching tanks.
  • Full facilities for pelletization and for grate and rotary kilns induration processes.
  • Full facilities for pyrometallurgical characterization of agglomerates.
  • Laboratories for chemical analysis and characterization: x-ray fluorescence, x-ray diffraction, atomic absorption, scanning electron microscopy, wet chemistry, LECO combustion furnace.
  • Development laboratories: industrial computing and simulation, laser spectroscopy, digital vision, etc.
